The Lore of Phantom Galaxies
More than fifty years have elapsed since the Union and the Commonwealth of Neoterra fought their last major war. Today, the two factions maintain a fragile alliance against rogue pirate guilds and a new enemy: the Sha’Kari. The Sha’Kari Zealots belong to the priest caste of the Sha’Har race, seeking retribution for the desecration of their ancestral planets by humankind. Their presence is substantial in the galaxy, inhabiting multiple star systems, and their incursion threatens the already-tenuous alliance between the Union and the Commonwealth.
The human alliance must persist despite its fragility if it is to withstand the assaults of the Sha’Kari, who view humans as usurpers and grave robbers. With Sha’Kari’s clear technological advantage as the original creator of powered armors, which inspired the human-built and highly effective Mechanised Starfighter series, the stakes are high. The Ranger Squad, consisting of the best of the best Union and Commonwealth elite pilots renowned for their bravery and prowess in combat, leads the charge in Mechanised Starfighters. As a newly-minted Mechanised Starfighter pilot ensign, you start the game by joining the Ranger Squad of elite pilots.
What is the Gameplay of Phantom Galaxies?
Phantom Galaxies is an immersive open-world online space simulation game that allows players to play a crucial role in the battle for control of Canis Major’s sectors. They will fight in the front lines and explore deep space to find precious resources and uncover the powerful Sha’Kari weapons.
The game offers four different starting classes or Frames, including Lancer, Buster, Assault, and Breacher. This allows players to upgrade their mechs and unlock specializations to fine-tune their Starfighter for each combat situation. Mechanized Starfighters are the primary tools that players use for exploration and combat in Phantom Galaxies. Furthermore, each Starfighter exists as an NFT that outlines both the appearance and attributes of the in-game mech.
To upgrade and evolve the vehicle, different NFTs and Fungible Tokens (FTs) must be fused together. Some NFTs are consumed during the Fusion process, while others influence its outcome without being consumed. Starfighters also have various characteristics and modifiers, such as Frame, Reactor, Shields, Cargohold, Thrusters, Overheat Capacity, Weapon Slots, and Armour Bonus, among others. Currently, the Starfighters are available in different Generations, and players can level up their Starfighters using the Fusion process.
How to Manufacture/Mint Mechanized Starfighters
Mechanized Starfighters are non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that are created through a two-stage manufacturing/minting process. In the first stage, players need to obtain a Base Frame NFT to manufacture their own Starfighter from scratch. Base Frames can be obtained either from a player Organization or from Phantom Galaxies. During the early access phase of the game, players will only be able to purchase Base Frames from Phantom Galaxies. However, in the future, the option to buy Base Frames from player-run Organizations will become available. Note that Base Frames are not pilotable Starfighters and they need to go through the second stage, which is called Fusion.
In the Fusion stage, players need to take their Base Frame NFT to a Fusion Facility and use various in-game resources to configure their Starfighter. Once they have configured it with the necessary ingredient NFT items and FT resources, they can activate the Fusion process by inserting a certain amount of fungible tokens. During the Fusion process, there will be a randomization that creates the final Generation 1 Starfighter NFT. The duration of the Fusion process will depend on the number of resources being fused and the universal instability factor of ASTRAFER. The randomization during Fusion will have an impact on the visual aspects of the Starfighter as well as certain attributes. It’s worth noting that each successive generation of Starfighters will allow for greater customizability of visual aspects and attributes.
Those who don’t want to manufacture their own Starfighter from scratch, they can purchase advanced Starfighters from the marketplace. However, it’s important to keep in mind that a player’s Avatar level serves as a limiting factor on a Starfighter’s combat abilities. This means that high-level Starfighters will require high-level Avatars to make the most of them.
