How Does Degen Zoo Work?
Degen Zoo is a game where players understand the consequences of animal cruelty. In this game, players need to kill their NFT animals. This mimics real-world financial incentives that lead to animal deaths. The question arises as to whether human greed will drive the collection to extinction or if people’s attachment to their NFTs will prevail. All profits from NFT trades are donated to endangered animal charities. The entire project was developed in just 30 days to expose Logan Paul’s Crypto Zoo as nothing more than a complete fraud.
To play the game, users must stake their DZOO tokens and gain eggs. Meanwhile, the number of eggs under distribution daily will decrease over time. Eggs are distributed based on the staked percentage of tokens in the pool, and players can claim their egg once it is full. Next, players must burn 25K DZOO tokens to hatch their eggs. It will then generate a random animal that holds a different amount of DZOO tokens ranging from 17k to 125k.
Next, players can feed their animals using another animal. This will evolve the animal into an NFT that holds more tokens than the sum of both animals. Each animal can be evolved twice, and evolving an animal alters its visible features. Finally, players must kill their animal to release the locked tokens within it. Each animal has a different life expectancy, and killing an animal before it matures incurs a penalty.
