How Does Sonne Finance Work?
Sonne Finance is a decentralized lending and borrowing protocol that is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and launched on Optimism. The platform enables peer-to-peer lending solutions that are completely decentralized, transparent, and non-custodial. Sonne Finance operates similarly to other established lending platforms such as Compound Finance and AAVE. Users can lend supported assets and borrow supported assets using their capital.
During its initial launch, Sonne Finance will provide high-liquidity money markets that offer dynamically adjusted incentives for the following assets: wETH, USDC, USDT, DAI, OP, and sUSD. They aim to become the primary lending platform on Optimism by offering the most competitive incentives for money markets. They are also providing the deepest liquidity native to Optimism.
Is Sonne Finance Safe to Use?
Sonne Finance is a trustable lending platform for users. It launched on the Optimism blockchain in September 2022, and its goal is to become the top liquidity market on Optimism. The protocol generates revenue by adjusting reserve factors for different liquidity pools when users borrow from the liquidity markets. Additionally, Sonne Finance received a $600k grant from Optimism, which will be allocated to lending, borrowing, and staking rewards within the protocol.
