Introduction
Sen Ho: Today, we are honored to invite our community CEO Lang Mei to give us a more intuitive introduction to their unique project.
Lang Mei: Hello, thank you for having me here. I am Lang Mei, CEO of AirDAO. Originally born in China, I moved to Boulder, Colorado, to pursue my career as a tech entrepreneur. Eventually, I moved to Silicon Valley to further my career. Around this time, I was successfully raising venture capital for my startup, and I was introduced to crypto through an ex-Googler meetup. I closely followed the evolution of crypto while focusing on my tech startup. In December 2021, I had an exit by selling my startup, then I met Dr. Stefan Meyer, the co-founder of Ambrosus. A few months after meeting Dr. Meyer, I became CEO of Ambrosus. Shortly after becoming CEO, we started the process of transforming Ambrosus into AirDAO.

Sen Ho: 1. Can you explain what AirDAO is and how the network is differentiated from other layers 1 blockchains? @Iangmeii
Lang Mei: AirDAO is the governance DAO for the Ambrosus Network (AMB-NET) — a highly scalable, ultra-secure, and fast Layer-1 blockchain with low-cost transactions. AirDAO’s flagship product is the AirDAO Dashboard, an easy-to-use dApp interface that streamlines the user experience and reduces the needless complexity that is too common with DeFi.
Sen Ho: 2. What are AirDAO’s unique selling points as compared to other similar projects in the industry?
Lang Mei: AirDAO is unique, as it is the first DAO governing an entire Layer-1 blockchain and the first to have a singular dashboard for all of the dApps on a blockchain. We have a focus on making the user experience as simple as possible, and we want the AirDAO dApp dashboard to be just as easy to use as the Apple app store, or the Google Play store. In regards to the DAO, AirDAO is working toward becoming a community-driven DAO that will govern AMB-NET and its ecosystem of DeFi products, with AirDAO community members playing a pivotal role in shaping the direction and decisions of the ecosystem.
Sen Ho: 3. What is the role of the $AMB token in AirDAO? And so, what about the TOKEN utility?
Lang Mei: The AMB token is the native utility token of AirDAO’s Ambrosus Network. It acts as the gas for transactions on the network and also as the staking reward for validators on AMB-NET. As the network transitions into entirely being governed by a community-owned DAO, it will also be a governance token, where AMB tokens will be used to vote on DAO proposals.
Sen Ho: 4. I heard that users can stake and get AMB rewards in seconds through the AirDAO Staking platform, can you elaborate on how it works?
Lang Mei: Staking AMB on AirDAO is simple and easy to do. Head over to our website – www.airdao.io, connect your MetaMask wallet, add Ambrosus Network as a custom network, click the staking tab, and deposit into the staking pool! We have even made a step-by-step staking tutorial video as part of our AirDAO Academy educational video series.

Sen Ho: 5. One last question, If you were to summarize your project in ONE word, what would it be? Why?
Lang Mei: I would say ‘community’ because we are working towards making the Ambrosus Network governed by a community-owned DAO. So in this regard, the community is the heart of AirDAO, and we are truly grateful for the support of the community as we build a better future for DeFi and Web3.

(Q4) From @Zionia0000: NFT is getting more popular now a days. It looks NFT has bright Future . So do you guies have any plan to include NFT to your project?
Lang Mei: There are definitely plans for NFTs in the future, and FirepotSwap has NFTs in their roadmap. Keep an eye on their social media for more information in the future!
(Q5) From @VallieCurtin: What are your plans for 2022/2023? Are you going to focus on development, interact more actively with the community, or do nothing and just enjoy what is happening?
Lang Mei: Good question. We are going to continue our work making DeFi accessible to all with AirDAO, and we regularly keep the community updated with the team’s progress in our weekly Town Hall meetings. In fact, we have a Town Hall meeting today at 14:00 (CET) — feel free to join and learn more!
