According to M-Research, from November 14 to November 20, 2022, 24 projects in the Web3 space raised a total of $333.5 million. Among them, Metaverse, NFT and GameFi projects have raised $27.6million; DeFi and Web 3 projects have raised $27.7million; The infrastructure projects raised $235million financing.

Joepegs, an NFT marketplace on the Avalanche blockchain, raised $5 million in a seed round led by now-defunct FTX Ventures and the Avalanche Foundation.“The funding from FTX Ventures was completed in June, and have since been transferred out of FTX prior to recent bankruptcy events,” the team said in a statement.

The marketplace launched in May and has grown rapidly to the largest NFT marketplace on Avalanche with over $3.4 million in secondary NFT sales and 12,000 users.

  1. Web3 Games and Entertainment Studio Heroic Story raises $6 million,led by Upfront Ventures

Heroic Story, a web3 gaming and entertainment studio, has raised $6 million in a seed round led by Upfront Ventures. Investors in the round, which brings the startup’s total financing to date to $7.4 million, also include Multicoin Capital and Polygon Technology, according to a company release. Angel investors such as Andreessen Horowitz’s Jonathan Lai and Miramax’s head of film Wolfgang Hammer also participated.

Formed at Y Combinator in 2019 by brothers Jay and Scott Rosenkrantz, Heroic Story aims to reimagine traditional tabletop role-playing games (RPGs) — similar to Dungeons & Dragons — for the web3 era.

  1. Shima Capital backs PlayEmber’s $2.3 million raise

Web3 gaming monetization platform PlayEmber has raised $2.3 million in a pre-seed round led by Shima Capital. Investors in the round also include Big Brain Holdings, Hyperithm, Warburg Serres, Lyrik Ventures and Huobi Ventures, according to a company release.

PlayEmber aims to make it easier for gaming advertising dollars to transition from the web2 market to web3 through a Unity-based software development kit that implements a custom monetization solution.

  1. DeFi infrastructure Revv completed a $5.5 million seed round in Q2,led by Libertus Capital

Revv, a decentralized financial (DeFi) market infrastructure, announced that it has completed a $5.5 million seed round of financing in the Q2, led by Libertus Capital, with participation from Castle Island Ventures, Tribe Capital, DACM, C² Ventures, Palm Drive Capital, Figment Capital and GFC etc.

Revv founder Adi said that Revv hopes to combine TradFi and Web2 practices with crypto-native experience to build new DeFi products.

  1. DEX platform Jumbo completes $3.5 million in financing, led by Pantera Capital

Decentralized trading platform Jumbo announced $3.5 million in new funding round, led by Pantera Capital and Huobi Ventures,with participation of D21 Ventures, Big Brain Holdings, Dweb3 Capital, Fundamental Labs and MetaWeb.

Jumbo is an AMM DEX developed based on NEAR, aiming to provide cheap, easy and unlimited trading methods.

  1. Web3 startup Virtualness raises over $8 million in seed round,led by Blockchange Ventures

Virtualness, a mobile-first platform designed to help creators and brands navigate the complex world of Web3, announced it has secured over $8M in seed funding. The fundraise was led by Blockchange Ventures, and joined by Polygon Ventures, F7 Ventures, Micron Ventures, Oceans Ventures, Neythri Futures Fund, Carolyn Everson, Randi Zuckerberg, Nusier Yassin (Nas Daily), Nikki Farb, Stacy Brown-Philpot, and other thought-leaders.

  1. Ultimate Champions completes $4 Million in strategic financing, Binance Labs participates

Web3 sports gaming platform Ultimate Champions completed $4 Million in strategic financing, Binance Labs participated.

Ultimate Champions is a completely free cross-league fantasy sports platform with officially licensed digital cards hosted as NFTs.Ultimate Champions will be deployed on the BNB chain.

  1. Matter Labs completes $200M series C funding, led by Blockchain Capital and Dragonfly

Matter Labs, the parent company of Ethereum scaling protocol zkSync, has raised $200 million in Series C funding, Blockchain Capital and Dragonfly led the investment,LightSpeed Venture Partners, Variant and Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) also participated in the investment.

The Series C funding will be used to launch first-party projects built by Matter Labs, grow the Matter Labs team, and fund other ecosystem projects built by external teams.

  1. Buildspace raises $10M led by a16z to build Hogwarts for builders

Web3 builder network Buildspace recently announced on its official website that it has completed $10 million in financing, led by a16z,with participation of Founders Inc,Weekend Fund,Y-Combinator,Vayner Fund,Protocol Labs,OrangeDAO,Solana Ventures,OpenSea Ventures,Alchemy Ventures and DreamerVC.

Buildspace aims to provide a learning platform for users to explore career development, and is now focusing on the Web3 field.The current learning projects on Buildspace include Solidity, Ethereum NFT, Solana Web3 App, etc.

  1. ATOM 2.0: A new vision for Cosmos Hub proposal failed

On November 14, the ATOM 2.0 proposal was not passed because the No With Veto voting ratio exceeded 33.4% (the final Veto voting ratio was 37.39%).The proposal involves allowing other chains to use the Hub to protect the network in the new version of the white paper,and changes to reduce the number of newly added ATOMs per month from an index issuance to a constant number after a 36-month transition period.

  1. Uniswap Labs releases two new smart contracts:Permit2 and Universal Router

On November 18, Uniswap Labs released two new smart contracts, the token approval contract Permit2 and the integrated universal router Universal Router. Permit2 allows token approvals to be shared and managed across different applications creating a more unified, cost-efficient, and safer UX. Universal Router unifies ERC20 and NFT swapping into a single swap router. Integrated with Permit2, users can swap multiple tokens and NFTs in one swap while saving on gas fees.
