Joselito Lizarondo created Swipe back in 2018 along with a team of experts that previously worked with giants such as Samsung, Visa, Google, and Apple. Thanks to the team’s reputation, they quickly grew to be one of the prominent DeFi with great potential. Furthermore, Binance took a fancy to its service and acquire the firm back in 2020. Now, their technology supports the Binance Card, a debit card that allows users to spend cryptocurrency in the physical world.
Their main product, the Swipe Wallet, is one of the best features available on their network. It is linked to Visa debit cards and a smartphone app, delivering an experience similar to regular mobile wallets. Wallet users can receive exclusive benefits such as Bitcoin cashback and free Spotify accounts. Furthermore, they integrated their native token, SXP to provide even more features.
At the moment, they are supporting more than 135 fiat currencies in over 30 countries worldwide. They are also working on incorporating traditional finance services into DeFi.
