According to MEXC Research, from September 12 to September 18, 2022, 51 projects in the Web3 space raised a total of $801.46 million. Among them, Metaverse, NFT and GameFi projects have raised $167million; DeFi and Web 3 projects have raised $36.3 million; The infrastructure projects raised $298.16 million financing; Blockchain fund completed financing of US $300 million.

2. Web3 music metaverse developer Hume closes $11.7 million in Series A financing,led by TCG Crypto

Hume, the tech and music company behind virtual “metastar” angelbaby, raised $11.7 million in a Series A round to create and finance more Web3-based musical artists.

The funding round was led by TCG Crypto, with participation from Collab+Currency, Winklevoss Capital, the Gemini Frontier Fund, Flamingo DAO, Noise DAO, Distributed Global, LAO DAO, Rahilla Zafar, Evan Bogart, and Coopahtroopa.

3. Spot Raises $5.5M in Seed Funding Led by Freestyle

Next-generation communications platform, Spot, announced $5.5M in combined Seed Round funding led by Freestyle and additional investors, including Liquid 2 Ventures, Community Access Fund, and Founder’s Co-Op. The Seattle-based company was established by Outreach co-founders, Gordon Hempton and Wes Hather.

4. NFT investment app Sintra completes $2 million financing,participated by FTX

NFT investment app Sintra completes $2 million financing,led by Lemniscap,with participation of FTX,Chorus One Ventures.CMCC Global,Big Brain Holdings,Two Ape VC,Shanna Tellerman, Felix Lutsch and Anthony Beaumont.

5. Game studio Theorycraft Games closes $50 million Series B round,participated by a16z

Game studio Theorycraft Games announced the completion of a $50 million Series B round led by the Makers Fund, an investment fund for the blockchain game industry,with participation of NEA and a16z.

6. Web3 Game Platform Iskra Raises $40M,participated byWemade

Iskra, a web3 community game platform that raised $40M from Korean tech giants Krust, Wemade, Netmarble, LINE Studio and others, plans to hold its first Token Generation Event (TGE) on global exchange Gate.io.

7. Web3 chess game company Immortal Games closes $12.2 million in Series A financing,led by TCG Crypto

Immortal Game, a startup that wants to turn chess into a web3 game with NFTs, play-to-earn rewards, has raised $15.5 million across two rounds, including a $12 million round in July. With this Series A round, TCG Crypto is leading the round, with Cassius, Greenfield One, Sparkle Ventures, Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman’s 35V, Blockwall, Kraken Ventures and Spice Capital also participating.

8. Metaverse Company Vulcan Forged completes $8 million Series A financing,led by SkyBridge Capital

Vulcan Forged, a leading blockchain game studio and decentralized application incubator, announced that it has secured Series A funding led by SkyBridge Capital.

SkyBridge led the $8 million round, which includes the option to invest an additional $33 million. This funding aims to further accelerate the growth of Vulcan Forged’s patented metaverse-as-a-service engine, MetaScapes, and enable the company to scale operations in North America and existing key markets.

9. Random Games Raises $7.6 Million Seed Round, co-led by Resolute Ventures and Asymmetric

Random Games, a new studio reinventing the videogame business through a combination of community empowerment and blockchain, raised a $7.6 million seed round of funding. This multi-million-dollar round was co-led by Resolute Ventures and Asymmetric, with participation from IGNIA, 2 Punks Capital, ID345, Polygon and notable game-developer David Jones.

1. Derivatives protocol Nibiru raises $7.5 million,participated by Kraken

Nibiru, a new crypto derivatives protocol co-founded by Tribe Capital GP Arjun Sethi, has raised $7.5 million in seed funding at a valuation of $100 million.Tribe Capital, Republic Capital and Kraken invested in the seed round.

2. Lending protocol Block Green closes $3.7 million seed round,led by Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund

Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund led a $3.7 million seed equity round into Block Green, a lending protocol that aims to enable bitcoin staking.

Other investors in the round, which closed in early June, included Coinbase Ventures, Blizzard and Dao5, according to an announcement.

3. Web3 asset management platform Presail completes a seed round of €3.8 million,led by SNÖ Ventures

Fraud detection platform Sardine announced it has closed a $51.5 million Series B round led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), just seven months after announcing its last fundraise.

Hyperlane, a platform that helps developers connect applications across blockchains, has raised $18.5 million in a seed funding round led by crypto-focused investment firm Variant.

The funding will be used for hiring, product development and security, which includes bug bounties and additional audits.

Lisbon-based Codacy, which provides info on code quality, security, compliance and performance. has closed a $15 million Series B funding round led by Bright Pixel Capital, the corporate VC of one of Portugal’s biggest employers, the Sonae Group.

Tres aims to improve the accounting process for web3 firms by collecting and aggregating digital asset data from separate wallets and accounts into its data platform.

7. Israeli Web3 company Antic raises $7 million in seed funding,led by 776 and Sheva

Israeli Web3 company Antic raised $7 million in seed funding.Seven Seven Six (776) fund founded by Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian and Israeli venture capital firm Sheva led the round,with participation of Pantera Capital,Sound Ventures,Rainfall,Shrug and Dapper Labs.Antic develops a blockchain-based infrastructure to create shared ownership.

8. Bain Crypto leads $6.5 million round for MEV infrastructure provider Skip

Miner Extractable Value infrastructure provider Skip Protocol has raised $6.5 million in a seed round led by Bain Capital Crypto. Galaxy Digital, Robot Ventures and Jump Crypto are also among the investors also participating in the round.

Miner Extractable Value (MEV) is a strategy where miners and validators have found ways to profit from including, excluding or ordering transactions within blocks to be validated.

The knowledge graph protocol 0xScope has raised a total of $3 million in its seed round.

12. Framework Ventures Leads $24M Round for Web3 Security Platform Immunefi

Bug bounty security services platform Immunefi raised $24 million in a Series A round led by Framework Ventures.Other backers in the round were Electric Capital, Polygon Ventures, Samsung Next, P2P Capital, North Island Ventures, Third Prime Ventures, Lattice Capital, and Stratos DeFi.

Immunefi focuses on bug bounty and security services for Web3 projects.

13. Crypto.com invests in web3 back-office platform Headquarters’ $5 million raise

Web3 back-office platform Headquarters has closed a $5 million round co-led by Crypto.com Capital, Forge Ventures and MassMutual Ventures.

The pre-seed raise also includes backing from Saison Capital, 500 Startups and Longhash Ventures as well as prominent angel investors such as Nansen CEO Alex Svanevik, Race Capital’s Chris McCann and Etherscan founder Matthew Tan.
