Summary
MEXC Earnings Season Trading Insights (Part 1) found that storage remained the dominant theme in MEXC Stock Futures trading during the concentrated earnings period for major technology companies.
Part 2 will expand the analysis to RealStocks, tokenized stocks, and Stock Futures between July and August 2026, comparing trading themes, user growth, and activity across different trading sessions.
Key findings include:
- Index and ETF volume grew faster than individual-stock volume in both RealStocks and Stock Futures. In tokenized stocks, individual stocks led trading activity, while indices and ETFs lagged behind.
- Semiconductors and storage remained the clearest industry theme, ranking first by trading volume in both RealStocks and tokenized stocks. Crypto-related stocks gained momentum in RealStocks, while optical communications and power emerged as new growth areas in tokenized stocks.
- The storage theme extended across individual stocks and ETFs. Micron recorded the largest volume increase among existing RealStocks listings, while SOXL and RAM together contributed approximately 74.8% of the increase in RealStocks ETF volume. Nvidia also attracted more traders across both RealStocks and tokenized stocks.
- Trading continued to extend beyond regular U.S. market hours, with 49.20% of tokenized stock volume occurring during pre-market, after-hours, and overnight sessions.
- The amount of trading fees saved through MEXC’s 0 Fee event for Stock and Index Futures increased 428% compared with May and June.
1. Individual-Stock Volume Rises Across Products, While ETF and User Growth Diverge
Individual stock trading volume increased across all three MEXC stock product categories in July and August, although the main drivers varied by product.

Note: Data compares July and August 2026 with May and June 2026.
Index and ETF volume on RealStocks increased 333.7%, substantially outpacing the 94.5% growth in individual-stock volume. As a result, the share of RealStocks volume generated by indices and ETFs nearly doubled from 12.6% to 24.3%, accounting for almost one-quarter of total volume.
A similar pattern appeared in Stock Futures, where ETF and index volume grew faster than individual-stock volume. Tokenized stocks moved in the opposite direction: individual-stock volume increased while index and ETF volume declined, further concentrating activity in individual names.
The number of traders increased across all three product categories, although first-time participation followed different patterns.

Note: Data compares July and August 2026 with May and June 2026. Users are counted separately for each product and are not consolidated across products.
Tokenized stocks attracted more first-time traders. The number of first-time traders increased 47%, outpacing the 35% growth in total traders. More than two-thirds of users who traded tokenized stocks in July and August were new to the product.
RealStocks expanded in both trading and ownership. Alongside growth in total and first-time traders, the number of users holding RealStocks assets at the end of August increased 105.2% from the end of June.
Stock Futures showed a different pattern. Total traders increased 16%, while first-time traders decreased 7%. This was largely due to a high comparison base in May and June, when launches of Pre-IPO products such as SpaceX-linked listings attracted many new traders. Continued growth in total traders suggests that a significant share of those earlier traders remained active, with growth driven primarily by retention rather than an influx of new users.
2. Semiconductors and Storage Remain Dominant as New Themes Emerge
Semiconductors and storage ranked first by trading volume in both RealStocks and tokenized stocks in July and August. AI and crypto-related stocks also ranked among the three largest sectors across both products.

Note: Rankings are based on sector trading volume in July and August. Percentage changes compare July and August with May and June. ETFs are excluded. “Semiconductors and Storage” includes chip and storage companies; “AI” includes computing infrastructure, hardware, software, and applications; and “Crypto and Digital Assets” refers to stocks of related companies.
RealStocks activity became increasingly concentrated in semiconductors and storage. The sector’s share of individual-stock volume rose from approximately 21.3% to 46.7%, meaning that nearly half of all RealStocks individual-stock volume during the period came from this segment.
The corresponding share in tokenized stocks remained broadly stable at 26.2%. Storage also continued to dominate Stock Futures, accounting for more than 50% of trading volume.
The largest sectors by volume were not necessarily the fastest-growing. While semiconductors and storage retained their scale advantage, different growth themes emerged across RealStocks and tokenized stocks.

Note: ETFs and themes representing less than 0.5% of individual-stock volume in the previous period are excluded from the growth rankings.
Crypto-related stocks combined substantial trading volume with strong growth. The sector ranked third by volume and first by growth in RealStocks, while ranking second by volume in tokenized stocks. It therefore emerged as an important shared theme across both products.
Growth in tokenized stocks was particularly strong in optical communications and power-related sectors. Volume in both sectors more than doubled, significantly outperforming the 18.7% growth recorded by tokenized individual stocks overall.
3. Micron and SanDisk Gain Momentum as Nvidia Participation Expands
At the individual-stock level, Micron and SanDisk recorded increases in both trading volume and the number of traders. Nvidia, meanwhile, attracted more participants across multiple trading products.

Note: Data compares July and August 2026 with May and June 2026. LITEON had a relatively small trader base in the previous period, and its growth rate should be viewed in that context.
Within RealStocks, Micron recorded a 620.0% increase in trading volume and a 477.7% increase in the number of traders, making it the fastest-growing existing listing by volume.
In tokenized stocks, SanDisk volume increased 55.2%, while its number of traders rose 59.3%. In Stock Futures, the number of traders participating in SanDisk- and SK Hynix-related products increased 286% and 244%, respectively.
Semiconductor and storage ETFs also played an important role. In the ranking of incremental RealStocks volume by asset, SOXL and RAM placed second and third behind Micron. Together, the two ETFs accounted for approximately 58.5% of total RealStocks ETF volume during the period.
Activity also broadened beyond chips and storage into other parts of the AI infrastructure value chain. Trading volume and the number of traders increased for Lumentum’s tokenized stock, LITEON, while Arista Networks (ANET) Futures also recorded rapid growth.
Nvidia participation expanded across products. The number of NVDA traders on RealStocks increased 777.8%, while the number of traders for tokenized products NVDAON and NVDAX rose 138.4% and 228.8%, respectively.
Nvidia reported earnings after the U.S. market closed on August 26 (early August 27, Beijing time). Following the release, daily trading volume in tokenized Nvidia products and NVIDIAUSDT Futures increased 59% and 443%, respectively, on August 27 compared with the previous day.
Across the full month, the three highest-volume days for tokenized Nvidia products were concentrated around the earnings release between August 26 and 28. The three highest-volume days for NVIDIAUSDT Futures were August 7, 18, and 27. This supports the finding from Part 1 that trading peaks tend to form around a broader chain of related events rather than solely on the earnings date.

4. Trading Remains Concentrated on U.S. Market Days, While Extended Hours Capture Nearly Half of Volume
Part 1 found that Stock Futures activity was concentrated on U.S. market days. Tokenized stocks followed the same pattern in July and August.
A total of 89.46% of tokenized stock volume occurred on U.S. market days, including regular, pre-market, after-hours, and overnight sessions. Pre-market, after-hours, and overnight trading together accounted for 49.20% of total volume, exceeding the 40.26% recorded during regular trading hours.
Pre-market and overnight sessions each contributed approximately one-fifth of total volume, making them the two most active extended-hours windows.

Extended-hours access allows users to respond to major announcements before the next regular market open. Nvidia’s earnings, for example, were released after the U.S. market closed. For users seeking to adjust their positions in response to new information, after-hours and subsequent overnight sessions provided earlier opportunities to participate.
The trading-session distribution shows that these windows are already serving a substantial share of actual trading demand. It also reflects how MEXC’s “Trade Wall Street without walls” proposition removes time barriers, reducing the need to wait for the regular market open and allowing users to respond to stock market developments more quickly.
Conclusion: One Market Theme, Three Ways to Participate
Part 1 found that Stock Futures volume became increasingly concentrated in storage during the earnings-heavy period. When the analysis is expanded to include RealStocks and tokenized stocks, semiconductors and storage remain the leading trading theme, showing that the same industry trend is extending across multiple products.
More importantly, each product is serving a different participation need. RealStocks reflects rapid growth in the number of traders, tokenized stocks extend access across more trading hours, and Stock Futures display a stronger event-driven pattern. Users can therefore participate in the same market theme through different products and at different times.
Meanwhile, MEXC’s 0 Fees continues to reduce the cost of trading Stock and Index Futures. Across product choice, trading hours, and participation costs, MEXC’s “Trade Wall Street without walls” proposition is expanding stock market access from a single entry point into a more flexible range of trading options.
